"Tracey cared for my dad, she brightened up his day and he always had a smile for her. She is now a companion for my mum, I don't know what we would do without her, she is an angel in disguise, a life saver and a very, very special person. I consider her a member of the family and wish we had found her sooner."
"Tracey is my helper but more importantly my friend. Tracey helped care for my husband when he had dementia, taking him out and spending time with him. We call her the 'Angel of the North'."
"Tracey treats my mum like her own. She's been amazing from day one! My mum always has a smile on her face when Tracey arrives and I couldn't think of anyone else I would want my mum to spend time with. Such a credit to the Elderly."
"Everyone needs a Tracey in their life." My mother-in-law really looks forward to their time together and finding a new friend at 85 has been a real joy for her."
"Tracey started looking after my Mum and Dad for a few weeks but is still with them several months later as she is too good to let go of! She is kind, gentle, capable and reliable and has fitted into their lives so easily. Nothing is too much trouble for her and we are all very fond of her."
'Tracey achieved the apparently impossible by overcoming our 94 year old mother's resistance to any company or help from outside the family. Tracey has a very special ability to build genuine bonds with people; she was always interested, chatty and cheerful, but in a very unobtrusive way. Tracey was completely reliable, full of suggestions for making our mother's life more fulfilling, and the only carer who our mother was happy to go out of the house with. Tracey made a huge difference to our mother's last few months; if only we'd found her earlier.'
“Our family are so grateful to Tracey for providing compassion and joy at what could have been such a difficult stage of life for my parents. Tracey was able to think of just what Dad would enjoy most on his afternoons out, and his delight when partaking in afternoon tea, or a trip on the river was clear to all. Reliable at all times, Tracey went far beyond the call of duty when looking after our parents. She formed a strong bond with both, and was a particularly great support to my Mother, helping her to cope with daily practicalities and adding tremendously to her quality of life. When Mum was feeling particularly low in her final illness, Tracey could still make her smile. It was so uplifting and reassuring to see them in such good hands, and we cannot thank Tracey enough for what she did for our Mum & Dad”.
“Tracey took my husband out for three hours one afternoon each week. He definitely looked forward to their outings (or should I say escapades)!
Although he was wheelchair bound, they visited places I wouldn’t attempt to take him...... a barge trip on the river, visits to an old fashioned cafe, art gallery, museums, beautiful gardens and many more! There was always a photo of each of their journeys! These have been so precious to me. She even took him to a craft centre where he hand painted a porcelain dog for my Christmas present! I treasure that so much. Tracey seems to have an endless list of places of particular interest to the people she cares for and every one is individually considered. She made the last year of my husband’s life so much fuller and happier and for that I will be eternally grateful.
Thank you so much, Tracey!”
